Joshua Xavier Gutiérrez, known professionally as Xavi, is a Mexican-American singer-songwriter from Phoenix, Arizona, who emerged in the 2020s with a sentimental take on música mexicana that he describes as âtumbado romántico.â Coming after the breakthrough of artists such as Natanael Cano and Peso Pluma, he made his official debut in 2020 with "Vete Ya" and followed with early tracks including "Ojitos de Miel" and "Amigos con Derechos". In 2022, Xavi collaborated with other rising regional Mexican acts, including Los Primos del Este on "Loko", Clave 520 on "Sé Chambiar" and Eduardo Soto on "Zero Sentimientos". His first album-length release, My Momâs Playlist, arrived in 2023 as a set of Latin covers inspired by his motherâs favorite songs. Later that year, he reached a wider audience with "La VÃctima", which became his first Top 10 entry on Billboardâs Hot Latin Songs chart, before "La Diabla" pushed him further in 2024 by topping Hot Latin Songs. Both songs, along with "OOTD", "Poco a Poco" and "Corazón de Piedra", appeared on his 2024 breakthrough album NEXT. In 2025, Xavi extended that run through collaborations such as "En Privado" with Manuel Turizo, "No Capea" with Grupo Frontera, "Cartier" with Gabito Ballesteros and "No Voy A Cambiar" with Codiciado. In 2026, he continued with "La Morrita" with CarÃn León, "Aguántame" with Banda MS and "Somos Más" with Carlos Vives, Emilia and Wisin, then released his second album, Dosis, a 19-track Interscope set that included "Find Us Again", his first fully English-language song.
