Widowspeak is an American indie rock band from Brooklyn, New York, that formed in 2010. The ensemble was established by the vocalist Molly Hamilton and the drummer Michael Stasiak, who were joined by the guitarist Robert Earl Thomas. They released their eponymous debut studio album, Widowspeak, in 2011 to critical acclaim, featuring the single âHarsh Realmâ (2011), which was included in an episode of the television series American Horror Story. Following the departure of Michael Stasiak and the bassist Pamela Garavano-Coolbaugh, the group released their second studio album, Almanac, in 2013. The recording was produced by Kevin McMahon in a century-old barn in the Hudson River Valley. In 2013, the band was named one of Fuse TV's 30 must-see artists at SXSW. Their subsequent discography includes the studio albums All Yours (2015), Expect the Best (2017), Plum (2020), and The Jacket (2022). In 2026, the duo Widowspeak returned with Roses.
