Vesterinen Yhtyeineen is a Finnish band founded in 2009 around singer-guitarist Tero Vesterinen, now a ten-piece outfit signed to Universal Music and renowned for its blend of indie-pop and iskelmää, sold-out concerts and lyrics oscillating between raw romanticism and dark humor. The band's breakthrough came with the album Jönköping (2009), which reached number 12ᵉ on the Finnish sales charts and propelled the single "Mitä tapahtui Hokkasen Timolle" into the radio charts. Erikoismiehen jäähyväiset (2011, #12), Tiedän miltä tuntuu (2013, #7) and Onnellinen mies (2015) follow, confirming their national foothold. Fame grows further with Kirottu yksinäisyys (2016, No. 12), followed by the compilation Paviaani - Parhaat 2009-2017 (2017, No. 17) and the live album Paviaani elää! (2018). In 2019, the album Faaraoiden aika (No. 7) delivers the hits "Tummilla teillä" and "Pitää sanoo ei", before Meissä asuu elämä (2021, No. 2) offers the radio hit "Kolme hyvää vinkkiä". The eighth studio album, Hetken ikuinen (March 2023), goes straight into the Top 40 at #3ᵉ, crosses the gold record threshold and sees its first single "Kohti sydänpeltoja" crowned "Vuoden iskelmä" and then #1 on the national airplay, while "Ilman mua" conquers the airwaves in its turn. On April 26, 2024, the group releases the double live album Hetken, ikuisesti, elävänä! (no. 22), recorded with a seventeen-piece ensemble, following on from a sold-out spring tour. In 2025, the single "Pöllöille kyytiä" reaches No. 13 in the Finnish radio charts.
