Vassendgutane, a Norwegian country and danseband, was formed in Ørsta in 1996. Their debut album Pylse og Konjakk was released in 2000, featuring mostly covers and songs written by Teddy Nelson, with only two tracks by the band. Their second album, Gi Clutch (2002), included all self-written tracks and helped them gain regional popularity. Vassendgutane achieved national success with Ungkar med dobbelseng (2005), featuring the hit single "Ungkar med dobbelseng," which reached number 27 on the Norwegian music chart VG-lista. Despite negative reviews from critics, their fourth album XO (2008) topped the VG-lista chart for two weeks. The band has since released several albums, including Riskrem og entrekått (2011), Festi e'kje slutt (2012), Hesteslepp (2013), Skru opp!! (2015), and Du & Ej & MeToo (2018). All their albums have received gold or platinum certification in Norway, with total sales exceeding 300,000.
