Troglauer Buam is a German folkâpop group originating from Troglau, Bavaria, formed in 2004. The band consists of founding members Markus âMikeâ Raps, Daniel âDannyâ Raps, and Dominik âNickiâ Brand, who had previously played together in the cover band Promise. Their first public appearance was a oneâoff concert on 4â¯Julyâ¯2004, after which the group devoted themselves fully to the new project.The breakthrough came with the debut album Heavy Volxmusic (2008), which entered the German charts at numberâ¯47. Subsequent releases followed in a steady cadence: Heavy Volxmusic â Die 2te (2009) reached numberâ¯59, Geboren in Troglau (2012) peaked at numberâ¯42, and Wer hättâ des denkt!? (2014) climbed to numberâ¯21. The single "Haberfeldtreiber" (2010) entered the Bayernâ¯3 chart at numberâ¯18 and later became a Wiesenfest hit. In 2019 the album Friede Freude Volxmusic debuted at numberâ¯19, the highest chart position to date. The bandâs 2023 release TROGLAUER entered the charts at numberâ¯34, followed by a BestâOf compilation in Decemberâ¯2023. In 2024 the single "Bauer sucht Frau (ATV reloaded)" served as the title theme for the 21st season of the Austrian TV series Bauer sucht Frau. The group continues to tour across Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Hungary, and Brazil, maintaining a presence in the German folkârock scene.
