Tríona Ní Dhomhnaill

Tríona Ní Dhomhnaill, born in Kells, County Meath, Ireland, in 1953, is an Irish singer, pianist, and harpsichordist. She started her career with the group Skara Brae, formed with her siblings Maighread Ní Dhomhnaill and Mícheál Ó Domhnaill, releasing their debut album Skara Brae in 1971. In 1974, Tríona joined The Bothy Band, a highly influential group in Irish traditional music, which included her brother Mícheál Ó Domhnaill. The band released several albums, including The Bothy Band (1975), Old Hag You Have Killed Me (1976), and Out of the Wind Into the Sun (1977). After The Bothy Band disbanded in 1979, Tríona moved to the United States. She later collaborated with her brother Mícheál Ó Domhnaill in Nightnoise, and released several albums, including Something of Time (1987) and At the End of the Evening (1988).
