Old Blind Dogs, a Scottish musical group, was formed in 1990 when founding members Ian F. Benzie, Buzzby McMillan, and Jonny Hardie met during a buskers' holiday in the Scottish Highlands. The band played traditional Scottish folk music with influences from various genres. Their debut album, New Tricks, was released in 1992. Over the years, Old Blind Dogs have seen frequent lineup changes, with Jonny Hardie being the only original member to remain constant. The band's discography includes notable albums such as Close To The Bone (1993), Legacy (1995), and Fit? (2001), which was a finalist for the Celtic Album of the Year award in 2001. They have toured extensively across Europe, North America, and Russia. In 2004, Old Blind Dogs were named "Folk Band of the Year" at the Scots Trad Music Awards, and lead singer Jim Malcolm received the Songwriter of the Year award.
