Trey Lewis is an American country performer from Birmingham, Alabama. Born in 1987, Lewis always had the hopes of becoming a country singer but it wasnât after a brief stint in rehab for alcohol addiction that he picked up the guitar and started writing his own songs. Later on, he moved to Nashville, Tennessee, where he began to play bars and small venues. His debut single arrived in 2015 with âThe Woman Behind the Music,â which was closely followed by âLet the Radio Playâ (2016), âBreathlessâ (2016), âWhiskey Miss Meâ (2018), and âLying Ex to Meâ (2018). In 2020, Lewis kept producing music at a steady pace with âWhole Lotta Nothin,â the EPs Thomason III, Pt. 1 and Thomason III, Pt. 2, and âDicked Down In Dallas,â which quickly blew up on social media and shot the country singer to stardom. Written by Brent Gafford, Drew Trosclair, and Matt McKinney, the single went viral online and entered Billboardâs Hot Country Songs chart at Number 12 and hit Number 2 in Canada.
