The Virginmarys

The Virginmarys are an English rock band that formed in Macclesfield, Cheshire, England, in 2006 as a trio of Ally Dickaty (vocals, guitar), Danny Dolan (drums) and Matt Rose (bass, vocals). They released self‑financed EPs and the mini‑album Cast the First Stone in 2010 before signing with Double Cross/Cooking Vinyl and Wind Up Records. Their debut album, King of Conflict, came out on 4 February 2013; the tracks "Bang Bang Bang" and "Just A Ride." In 2016, they issued Divides, produced by Gil Norton, preceded by the single "Motherless Land". They followed up with the Sitting Ducks EP in 2017 and the album Northern Sun Session (2018), released through Masochismo Records. In 2024, The Virginmarys returned as a duo on The House Beyond the Fires, reissued as Beyond the House of Fires in 2026.
