The Pains of Being Pure At Heart

A direct descendant of the shoegazing scene of the 1990s, American band The Pains of Being Pure at Heart plugged their pop into saturated guitars in 2007, releasing an album of the same name two years later. In 2011, the follow-up, Belong , readjusts to the times with the help of producers Flood and Alan Moulder. In 2014, Kip Berman's band reappeared without Peggy Wang, but with Kelly Prat and singer Jen Goma for the album Days of Abandon.
