Jeong Soonâwon, born 19 April 1974 in the Republic of Korea, is a South Korean pop singer who began his musical journey in the late 1990s. He first entered the industry as a member of the group Space A, debuting in 1997 before launching a solo career in 2002 with the album The Last Gift. The same year he released The One! and established himself as a vocal coach, training prominent Kâpop acts such as Girlsâ Generation and Super Junior. In 2004 he issued The One, followed by The Last in 2008, and Walking Again in 2011, which showcased his continued evolution in pop balladry. His 2014 album Whoâs The One and the single "Whispers of the Evening Wind" (2025) reflected his sustained relevance. Jeongâs singles, including "Loner" (2009) and "Two Men's Story" (2011), were featured in various television soundtracks, expanding his audience beyond traditional album sales. In 2012 he won the second season of the Korean version of I Am a Singer, and in 2015 secured third place in the Chinese version, underscoring his crossâborder appeal. His discography, spanning five Korean albums and one Mandarin release, demonstrates a steady presence in the pop music scene without reliance on subjective acclaim. His single, "love is so...," released on December 28, 2025, entered Melon's Top 500 Melon domestic chart at rank 8 the next day.
