The Neighbourhood

American rock band formed in 2011 in Thousand Oaks, California, The Neighbourhood consists of Jesse James Rutherford (vocals), Jeremy Freedman (guitar), Zach Abels (guitar), Michael Margott (bass) and Brandon Fried (drums, who replaced Bryan Sammis in 2014). The band signed to Columbia Records and released "Female Robbery", their first single, in 2012, before following it up with the Thank You EP. Their first big hit, "Sweater Weather", was released the same year and reached number 14 in the Billboard charts. 2013 saw the release of the album I Love You (#25 in the U.S., #70 in the U.K.). Two years later, the band released Wiped Out! at No. 13 in the U.S., followed by The Neighbourhood in 2018 (No. 61), featuring the hit "Softcore", which reached No. 51 in the U.K. charts. Chip Chrome & the Mono-Tones was released in 2020, but failed to enter the charts.
