A Silent Film

A Silent Film, an English alternative rock band from Oxford, was formed in 2005 by Robert Stevenson and Spencer Walker. The band released their first recording, the EP The Projectionist, in 2007. Their debut album, The City That Sleeps, produced by Sam Williams, was released in 2008. The single "You Will Leave a Mark" topped the Portuguese download singles charts and reached number 38 on Billboard's Hot Modern Rock Tracks. A Silent Film toured extensively with bands such as OneRepublic and Scouting for Girls. Their album, Sand & Snow, released in 2012, included the hit single "Danny, Dakota & The Wishing Well". In 2015, A Silent Film released their self-titled third album. After over 20 million streams of their songs, Stevenson and Walker decided to take an indefinite break from the band in 2018.
