The Marshes

The Marshes are an American punk band from Northampton, Massachusetts, formed in 1994 by drummer Colin Sears and bassist and vocalist Emil Busi. The trio was completed with guitarist Steven Wardlaw. Their debut self-titled EP, The Marshes, released on Sike Records in 1995, led to a signing with Grass Records, part of BMG. The band's second album, Fledgling (1996), received little support and they were subsequently dropped by the label. The Marshes signed with Dr. Strange Records and released Pox on the Tracts in 1997. After a hiatus during which members pursued other projects, The Marshes returned in 2000 to release the album Recluse. In May 2010, they reunited for two shows and released the single "Vicious Beast" on Dr. Strange Records.
