The Forgotten Rebels

The Forgotten Rebels, a Canadian punk rock band from Hamilton, Ontario, formed in 1977. Inspired by artists like David Bowie and T. Rex, they released their first recording, Burn the Flag, in 1978, followed by their debut EP, Tomorrow Belongs to Us, in 1979. In the following year, they released their first album, In Love With the System. The band's lineup evolved over time, with Dave McGhire joining as a drummer in 1981. Their second album, This Ain't Hollywood..., included the notable song "Surfin' on Heroin". In 1988, they signed with Restless, Enigma, and Capitol Records, leading to the release of Surfin’ on Heroin. The band continued to perform internationally, sharing stages with acts like The Clash and Ramones.
