The Finn Brothers

The Finn Brothers, consisting of Neil and Tim Finn, are a New Zealand musical duo born in 1958 and 1952, respectively. The brothers began their music career together at a young age, with Neil joining older brother Tim's band Split Enz when he was 18. In June 1993 both members were awarded the OBE for their contribution to music. Neil wrote one of Split Enz's biggest hits, "I Got You". After leaving Split Enz, Tim released his first solo album Escapade. Neil formed Crowded House and later recorded two solo albums after Crowded House split in 1996. He reformed Crowded House in 2007, releasing four albums since then. The Finn Brothers project began after a three-week songwriting spree in 1989, though most songs were deemed suitable for Crowded House's Woodface album released in 1991. The duo's first album, Finn, was released in 2003. Their second album, Everyone Is Here, was released in 2004 and featured the Split Enz song "Edible Flowers". In 2005, they performed at the Wave Aid fundraising concert following the Boxing Day tsunami. The Finn Brothers' music has been featured in various television shows and films, including Scrubs and Aurora Borealis.
