The Disco Boys were founded in Hamburg in 1995. The musical duo consists of the DJs and producers Raphael Krickow (*1966 in Osnabrück) and Gordon Hollenga (*1969). The two are among the most influential figures in the German house and dance scene and have been defining the disco house style since the mid-1990s. They mix classic disco tracks with modern house beats, a combination that has made them a permanent fixture at clubs and festivals in Germany and around the world. From 2001, the duo released their own singles and launched their annual mix compilation series, making the disco house genre accessible to a wide audience. As DJs, they regularly play at major events such as the Love Parade, Nature One, Mayday, the Life Ball and various international club tours. Their best-known releases include the singles "Born to Be Alive" (2001), "For You" (2004), "Hey St. Peter" (2006), "What You Want" (2007), "I Love You So" (2007) and "Around the World" (2012). Parallel to this, the mix compilation series The Disco Boys has been released regularly since 2001.
