The Chariot

The Chariot was an American hardcore punk band from Douglasville, Georgia, formed in 2003 by vocalist Josh Scogin. Shortly after leaving his previous band Norma Jean, Scogin started The Chariot with local musicians, including guitarists Keller Harbin and Tony Medina, bassist Joshua Beiser, and drummer Jeff Carter. In 2004, the band signed a record deal with Solid State Records and released their debut album Everything Is Alive, Everything Is Breathing, Nothing Is Dead And Nothing Is Bleeding. The album debuted at number 23 on Top Heatseekers and was followed by extensive touring. Subsequent releases included the EP Unsung in 2005 and the albums The Fiancée (2007), which debuted at number 169 on the Billboard 200, Wars and Rumors of Wars (2009), Long Live (2010), and One Wing (2012). The Chariot disbanded following a farewell tour in late 2013.
