Terminal Choice is a German band from Berlin, founded in 1993 by Chris Pohl. The group combines elements of synth rock, aggrotech and Neue Deutsche Härte. Chris Pohl, born on February 9, 1972 in Berlin-Kreuzberg, is the band's singer and programmer. Other members are Jens Gärtner (drums, electronics), Gordon Mocznay (bass) and Sven Louis Manke (guitar). The band begins as a one-man project and releases the single Totes Fleisch in 1995, which attracts attention in the black scene. The debut album In the Shadow of Death followed in 1996. With the album Navigator (1998), the band integrated guitars into their sound. Ominous Future was released in 2000, reaching number 15 in the German alternative charts. Further albums are Menschenbrecher (2003), New Born Enemies (2006) and Übermacht (2010). The latest releases are the compilations Black Journey 1-3 in 2011. The band is known for its mixture of electronic sounds and hard guitar riffs. The lyrics deal with themes such as love, death and destruction. In 2017, Chris Pohl announces in his biography that Terminal Choice is no longer active due to a lack of time and missing band members. No official statement is made.
