Japanese singer Tamaru Yamada (山田 タマル), born 1 December 1982 in Suginami, Tokyo, Japan, began her musical journey as a child listening to jazz and country, later forming a high‑school band and learning piano and guitar composition; she studied psychology, philosophy, aesthetics, and music history at Waseda University. Yamada’s professional debut came with the EP Warp released on 1 August 2005, followed by Koi No Keshiki on 10 May 2006, establishing her presence in the J‑pop scene. Her first full‑length album, Kairou, dropped on 6 December 2006, and the subsequent album Start was issued on 7 November 2007. The single "A Beautiful Day" was issued on 17 March 2007, marking a significant commercial moment. Yamada’s notable commercial work includes the 2006 Shiseido campaign My Brand New Eden, which reached number 15 on the Oricon chart and received airplay on 26 FM stations across Japan. Throughout her career, Yamada expanded her visibility by appearing in a Yebisu Beer commercial titled The Hop.
