Takashi Sorimachi

Takashi Sorimachi, born Takashi Noguchi on December 19, 1973, in Japan, is a singer and actor. He began his career as a trainee with Johnny & Associates' group Heike-ha, serving as a backdancer for Hikaru Genji. However, he left the agency to pursue modeling and acting. Sorimachi debuted as an actor in 1994 with the drama Maido Gomen Nasai and released his first single “Forever” in 1997, earning the Newcomer of the Year award at the 12th Japan Gold Disc Awards. His breakthrough role came in 1998 with Great Teacher Onizuka, where he portrayed Eikichi Onizuka and released the theme song “Poison”, which gained international attention for its ability to soothe crying babies. Sorimachi continued his music career with singles and albums such as Message (1997) and Soul (2000). He also starred in notable films like Fulltime Killer and Otoko-tachi no Yamato. In 2024, he collaborated with Blue Encount on the theme song “Poison” for the special episode revival of GTO Revival, marking his return to music after a hiatus.
