Ayaka is a Japanese female singer-songwriter, born on December 18, 1987 in Moriguchi, Osaka. She has loved singing since she was a child and aspired to become a singer by the time she was in junior high school. In her first year of high school, she formed a band with her friends and started live performances, and in her second year, she started writing lyrics at "Music School Voice". Her first album "First Message" debuted at No. 1 in November, followed by "WINDING ROAD" (co-written with Kobukuro) in February 2007, and the single "I Believe" in April. In 2009, she announced that she had Graves' disease and would be taking a break before the end of the year. In 2011, they announced the resumption of their activities and launched their own label, releasing the album "The Beginning" in February 2012, which debuted at No. 1 on the Oricon. In February 2013, they released the double A-side single "beautiful/Chiisana Ashiguchi", and in 2014, "Nijiiro" was used as the theme song for NHK's TV series "Hanako to Anne". The following year, in April 2015, she released her 4th album "Rainbow Road". after giving birth twice, she released "Negaiboshi" co-written with Daichi Miura at the 2020 Corona Disaster. she released her album "Love Cycle" in 2022 and "Funtale" in 2023.
