Arthur Andrew Kelm, known professionally as Tab Hunter, was born on July 11, 1931, in New York City and later moved to California. He began his career as a singer and quickly had his breakthrough with the single "Young Love", which reached Number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for six weeks in 1957. In 1958, he released his eponymous debut album. Following this success, he released several albums including Hans Brinker or The Silver Skates (1958), When I Fall in Love (1959), and R.F.D (1960). Tab Hunter's career spanned over four decades, during which he also acted in numerous films and television shows. Notable releases include the album There's No Fool Like a Young Fool (2010) and compilations such as Young Love - The Best Of Tab Hunter (2014). He received his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960, and a Golden Palm Star in Palm Springs in 2007. Tab Hunter passed away on July 8, 2018, at the age of 86 due to complications from a heart attack.
