Swim Deep

Swim Deep is an indie pop band formed in Birmingham, England, by Austin Williams, Tom Higgins, and Wolfgang J. Harte in 2011. After a series of demos, the band signed to Chess Club/RCA in 2012 and released the debut single "King City" in May, followed by "Honey" in November. Both singles introduced the band to the indie scene. In 2013, Swim Deep issued the single"The Sea" and the EP She Changes the Weather, then launched its first studio album Where the Heaven Are We in July, receiving reviews from NME and The Guardian. The sophomore album Mothers arrived in 2015, showcasing an acid‑house‑inspired sound, and the single "To My Brother" highlighted the shift. Line‑up changes preceded the third studio album, Emerald Classics, released in 2019, followed by tours. In 2024, the band released There's a Big Star Outside, produced by Bill Ryder‑Jones, toured the UK, Europe, and Asia, and a live EP of the album’s full performance was issued on vinyl later that year.
