Suspekt

Suspekt are a hip-hop group formed in Albertslund, a suburb of Copehagen, Denmark in 1997 by rappers Emil Simonsen and Andreas Bai Duelund. Since 1999 the band, noted for their dark, horrorcore stylings, have released six albums, while each individual member has also produced a large amount of solo and collaborative work. In 1998 the band members formed the Tabu Records label, which over its history has signed fellow Danish artists Marwan, Rasmus Hedegaard, L.O.C., The Floor Is Made of Lava and Veto. Suspekt's most global claim to fame was when their track 'Helt Alene' was sampled on Kendrick Lamar's album 'Good Kid, M.A.A.D City' in 2012. Following the release of their number one album, '100% Jesus', in 2017 the group's members concentrated on their solo work and Tabu. However, single 'Gonzo' was released in 2019 and reached number five in Hitlisten, the Danish music chart.
