Livingstone Etse Satekla, known professionally as Stonebwoy, was born on March 5, 1988, in Ashaiman, Accra, Ghana. He is a singer and rapper who began his music career at an early age, realizing his talents as a lyricist and scriptwriter during his primary school days. His breakthrough came with the release of his debut album Necessary Evil in 2013. In 2015, Stonebwoy won the Best International Act: Africa category at the BET Awards and the Artist of the Year at Ghana Music Awards. Stonebwoy's career gained significant momentum with subsequent albums such as Epistles of Mama (2017), Anloga Junction (2020), and 5th Dimension (2023), featuring collaborations from Stormzy, Dexta Daps, Mereba, Jaz Karis, Davido, Oxlade and Tiwa Savage. Notable singles include "Nominate" (2020) and "Your Body" (2024). He has also received two Billboard plaques and a Golden Club plaque from Boomplay for surpassing One Hundred Million streams on the platform. Subsequent albums include Up & Runnin6 (2024), including duets with Wyclef Jean and Duncan Mighty, and The Torcher (2025), comprising the hit "Gidi Gidi (Fire)", ranked number 40 on Billboard's Afrobeats chart.
