Starshooter

Group formed around 1977 in Lyon. Kent Hutchinson (guitar and vocals), Jello (guitar), Mickey Snack (bass), Phil Pressing (drums), adopted silly nicknames in the punk fashion of the time (Sid Vicious, Billy Idol, Captain Sensible). Their crazy, energetic rock got them signed to Pathé Marconi/EMI. Their banned cover of The Beatles' "Get Baque" did not please the label that owned the rights to the song. Starshooter in 1978 is a success, with the single "Betsy Party" in particular. Starshooter went on to release three other, more anecdotal albums. Their short career, however, set many French musicians free, and they are among the fathers of the alternative rock movement.
