Split Habit

Split Habit was a power pop band formed in Lemont, Illinois in 1997. The original lineup consisted of Travis Brown on lead vocals and bass, Johnny Smoke on guitar and backing vocals, and Chris Michaels on drums. They began their career by recording a four-song demo and playing local venues around Illinois. In 2001, they released the EP Biting My Lip and started performing on Warped Tour for five consecutive years. Following Johnny Smoke's departure, Frankie Cacciato joined as his replacement in late 2002. The band recorded their second full-length album, Put Your Money Where Your Mouth Is, with producer Sean O'Keefe at Smart Studios in early 2003. This album was released under Double Zero Records and featured on various TV shows including Smallville and Supernatural. In July 2006, Split Habit played their final show at Chicago's Warped Tour but briefly reunited in 2011 to record a single.
