Soul Central

Soul Central, a British music production duo originally founded by Andy Ward and Paul Timothy in England, later evolved with Matt Mckillop joining as a member. The group's breakthrough came in 2005 with the release of their single "Strings Of Life (Stronger On My Own)", a cover of Derrick May's "Strings Of Life" featuring vocals from house singer Kathy Brown. This track reached number 6 on the UK Singles Chart and topped the UK Dance Chart, marking a significant milestone for Soul Central. The song was released through Defected Records and also appeared on the Ministry of Sound compilation album The Annual 2005. Following this success, Soul Central released their debut single "Need U Now" in January 2006, which featured an instrumental track that peaked at number 109 in the UK. In May 2006, they released another single, "In-Ten-City", promoted by Pete Tong on his BBC Radio 1 show and featuring Billie on vocals. The duo's lineup changed in 2020 with Matt Mckillop officially joining and the release of their single "Un Amore Supremo" featuring production credits from Paul Timothy and Matt Mckillop. Soul Central released several tracks digitally and on vinyl, including "The Destroyer", featured by Graeme Park on the live stream Hacienda House Party 2, and "Pimp Life EP", exclusive to Juno music. They returned in November 2021 with new single "Give It To You".
