SomeKindaWonderful

SomeKindaWonderful, an American rock band from Cleveland, Ohio, was formed in January 2013 by Jordy Towers on vocals. The group initially consisted of Ben Schigel on drums, Justin Andres on bass and keys, Sarah Dryer on percussion and vocals, and Matthew Gibson. Towers, a singer-songwriter formerly signed to Interscope Records, met local musicians Schigel and Gibson at a bar in Olmsted Falls, Ohio, leading to the recording of their first song "Reverse". The band signed to Downtown Records and released their self-titled debut studio album SomeKindaWonderful on March 5, 2015. Their debut single "Reverse" garnered significant support from Los Angeles modern rock station KROQ and peaked at number one on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart. Following a US tour supporting New Politics and Bad Suns in Fall 2014 and a headlining tour in Spring 2015, the band members, except for Jordy Towers, decided to retire from touring to start families. In 2016, Towers began creating new music for SomeKindaWonderful, collaborating with German producer Nikolai Potthoff. The lead single "Wheels Up", featuring rapper Casey Veggies, was released in July 2017.
