Soichi Futami

Syoichi Futami (born October 26, 1998 in Miyazaki Prefecture) is a Japanese enka singer with an elongated "Yamabiko voice". He learned min'yo from childhood and emerged early on as a winner in national competitions, winning the grand prix at a 2017 audition for new singers and making his long-sought major-label debut in 2019 with the single "Aishu Touge". In 2020, they released their first album "Sashi-Hayate", followed by their second album "Sashi-Hayate 2" in 2021 and their third album "Sashi-Hayate 3" in 2022, making it a series. Furthermore, the best album "Yamabiko Special" was released in December 2025, establishing a solid track record. Then, on March 4, 2026, he released the single "Snow in the Ancient City. This song is a masterpiece that sings emotionally rich scenes of the ancient capital and became a big hit, reaching a maximum of No. 8 on the Oricon Weekly Chart.
