Single Mothers, a Canadian punk rock band, was formed in London, Ontario in 2008 by vocalist Andrew Thomson. The band released its first two EPs, Wild Party and Single Mothers, in 2010 and 2012 respectively. In 2014, Single Mothers released their debut studio album, Negative Qualities. This album was produced by Joby J. Ford of The Bronx and featured the single "Marbles". The band toured extensively to support the album, including a North American tour from August to October 2014. Negative Qualities was nominated for a Juno Award in Canada. In 2017, Single Mothers released their second full-length album, Our Pleasure, through Dine Alone Records and Big Scary Monsters. The band continued to release albums including Through A Wall (2018), Everything You Need (2022) and Roy (2023).
