Shindy

Rapper Shindy, real name Michael Schindler, was born near Stuttgart on September 7, 1988. He grew up as the son of a Greek father and a German mother and turned to rap at the age of 12. His first tracks could be heard on an internet platform for battle rap in 2008, where he was also discovered a short time later by rappers Jaysus and Kay One. Together with them, Shindy founded the hip-hop group Crime Payz, which soon disbanded. Since then, Shindy and Kay One have dedicated themselves to their solo careers in Berlin. This is where they came into contact with Bushido's labelErsguterjunge , with whom Kay One was also under contract. Shindy appeared as a feature on Kay One's single " Finale wir kommen " , which entered the German charts at number 29. The joint single " Panamera Flow " with Bushido also reached the top 100 in the charts. Shindy's debut album NWA followed in 2013, which reached the top of the charts in Germany and Austria. The music video for " Stress ohne Grund " caused a stir and was unceremoniously blocked, with a re-upload of the song leading to a record number of views. The controversial song was re-released together with rapper Haftbefehl under the title " Stress mit Grund " and charted at number 21. A year later, the album FVCKB!TCHE$GETMONE¥ was one of the most successful albums of the year, for which Shindy was awarded gold. The success continued with another collaboration with Bushido, which resulted in the collabo album CLA$$IC . Shindy's third and final solo album, Dreams, was released on the Ersguterjunge label. From 2017, Shindy retired and only released the song DODI two years later, which immediately secured the top position in the charts. Since then, Shindy has been releasing his songs on his own label Friends with Money. This is also the home of his album Drama , for which Shindy collaborated with music producers OZ and Nico Chiara. The collaboration has continued for many years, including the creation of the track "Affalterbach", for which internet star Shirin David sang the hook.
