Shelley Alexis Duvall, born on July 7, 1949 in Fort Worth, Texas, was an American singer and actress. She began her career as a cosmetics saleswoman before being discovered by director Robert Altman, who cast her in Brewster McCloud (1970). While primarily known for her acting roles, Duvall also ventured into music, releasing two children's albums: Hello, I'm Shelley Duvall...Sweet Dreams and Hello, I'm Shelley Duvall...Merry Christmas, both in 1991. Her musical endeavors were part of a broader involvement in children's programming, including producing shows like Shelley Duvall's Faerie Tale Theatre. Duvall passed away on July 11, 2024, at the age of 75, leaving behind a legacy that spanned both film and music.
