Tatiana Palacios Chapa, widely known mononymously as Tatiana and nicknamed "la Reina de los Niños" ("the Queen of Children"), is a Mexican-American singer, actress, and television presenter. Born on December 12, 1968, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, she moved to Monterrey, Mexico with her family after her father completed his studies in the United States. Tatiana's career in music began in 1983 at the age of 15, when she started winning local and regional talent contests. In 1984, she won the El Rostro contest organized by El Heraldo de México newspaper and participated in the rock opera Kumán, resulting in an album collaboration with the rock group Cristal y Acero. Following this, she released her first solo album, Tatiana (1984). She also made her film debut in Un Sábado Más in 1985. Over the next few years, she released several pop albums including Chicas de Hoy (1986), Baila Conmigo (1987), Un Lobo en la Noche (1988), and No Vuelvas a Besarme (1989), each extending her reach within the Mexican pop landscape. In 1995, Tatiana transitioned to children's entertainment, hosting her own TV show El Espacio de Tatiana, which ran until 2001. In 2004, she starred in the children's telenovela Amy, La Niña de la Mochila Azul, playing the character Coral. In 2020, Tatiana released "Navidad Rock," a Spanish language version of the song "Jingle Bell Rock." In 2021, she appeared on Televisa's ¿Quién Es la Máscara? and in 2022, she hosted the cooking reality show MasterChef México. That year, she released the single "No Me Quiero Bañar," which earned a Platinum certification in Mexico.
