Seo Ja-yeong

Seo Ja-yeong (서자영; also known as Seo Jayeong, Seo Jayoung, and Seo Ja Young), born on February 12, 1997, in Seoul, South Korea, is an independent singer-songwriter and producer known for her emotional storytelling and genre-blending music. She made her solo debut on November 30, 2017, with the digital single "Midnight Lamp," introducing her introspective style to the Korean indie scene. Seo Ja-yeong gained broader public attention in 2020 through her appearances on I Can See Your Voice 7, where she impressed audiences with her performance of "Shallow" by Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper, and on the folk music survival show Folk Us. Continuing to build her career, she released two EPs, Monologue (2020) and Shape of Love (2021), showcasing her growth as a songwriter. Her evolving sound, blending folk, pop, and R&B influences, is further reflected in singles like "Breath" (2022), "How About U" (2023), and "Blue Bird" (2024). In 2023, she contributed two songs, "Feel" and "Quixotic," to the Lies of P original soundtrack, expanding her presence into the gaming world. Seo Ja-yeong’s latest projects include her 2025 EP Naro and singles like "On the Trail,".
