Sandro Silva, real name Shandro Jahangier, is a Dutch DJ and producer born in Zoetermeer, the Netherlands, on February 19, 1992. Active since the late 2000s, he is considered one of the pioneers of big room house, a subgenre of electro house with deep bass, breaks and reverb effects. He gained worldwide recognition in 2011 with the track "Epic", produced in collaboration with Quintino and released on Tiƫsto's Musical Freedom label. This track is often cited as one of the very first big room house tracks, and strongly influenced the evolution of the EDM scene in the 2010s. Sandro Silva has released tracks on several major labels including Spinnin' Records, Revealed Recordings, Armada Music, Mixmash Records and others. He has collaborated with artists such as Arston, D.O.D, Jordy Dazz and Laidback Luke. As a DJ, he has performed at major international festivals, including Tomorrowland, Ultra Music Festival and Electric Zoo, while touring Asia, North America and Europe. Musically, Sandro Silva combines epic melodies with the percussive energy of big room house. Over the years, he has also explored more melodic and trance-like sounds. In addition to the Let Go Tonight EP (2012), numerous singles have been released, including "Puna" (2013), "Ibiza 7am" (2020), "Risk It All" (2021), "Bulldog" (2022), "Cold as Ice" (2024) and the hit "Summer Jam" (2025).
