Sakura Gakuin

Sakura Gakuin, a Japanese idol group formed in April 2010 under Amuse Inc., debuted with the single "Yume ni Mukatte / Hello! IVY" on December 8, 2010. The group's concept revolved around an academy where members, all students, were required to graduate and leave upon completing their education, ensuring a constantly changing lineup. Sakura Gakuin released their first album, Sakuragakuin2011nendo-Friends-, in January 2012, following the debut of their sub-group Twinklestars with "Dear Mr. Socrates" in November 2010. The group's subsequent albums included SakuraGakuin 2015 - Kirameki no Kakera - (March 2016). Notable singles include "Tabidachi no Hi ni" (February 2012), which reached Number 14 on the Oricon weekly chart, and "My Graduation Toss" (February 2013). Sakura Gakuin also had several sub-groups representing various school clubs, such as Twinklestars from the Baton Club and Babymetal from the Heavy Metal Club. The group disbanded on August 31, 2021, after releasing their final album SakuraGakuin 2020 - Thank you- in August 2021.
