OCHA NORMA

Ocha Norma is a Japanese idol girl group, formed in 2021 under the Japanese musical collective Hello! Project. Known for their blend of traditional and modern musical styles, the group formed in 2021 when Mizuki Fukumura announced the new Hello! Project group. The initial lineup included Kirara Yonemura, Kanami Ishiguri, Nanami Kubota, and Madoka Saito. Later, Natsume Nakayama, Ruli Hiromoto, Miku Nishizaki, Sumire Tashiro, Roko Tsutsui, and Momo Kitahara were added. Ocha Norma's career kicked off with the digital release of their song "Ramen Daisuki Koizumi-san no Uta" in early 2022. Their follow-up single, "Koi no Crouching Start / Omatsuri Debut da ze!," was released a few months later and it was a huge success for the group, reaching number 2 on the Oricon and Hot 100 charts. They followed this with the single "Unmei Chachacha~n / Uchira no Jimoto wa Chikyuu Jan!" in late 2022. Their success continued as they won the New Artist Award at the 64th Japan Record Awards in December 2022. In July 2023, Ocha Norma released their third single, "Chotto Jyocho Fuantei?... Natsu / Ochanoma Mahoroba Ikoinoba (Showa mo Reiwa mo Wacchawacha) / Shekenare / Yoridori Me Dream." This led up to the release of the group's first full-length studio album, CHAnnel #1, which peaked at number 4 on the Japanese charts in early 2024.
