RL Grime

Born Henry Alfred Steinway (8 February 1991, Los Angeles), the US electronic music producer and DJ known as RL Grime has been performing top-tier services to bass, trap and EDM since first emerging on the LA scene in 2012. After initially enrolling at Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts with a major in music business in 2009, he transferred to New York University a year later before moving back to Los Angeles to begin his career in 2012. Cutting his teeth with the WeDidIt crew aka Shlohmo, Groundislava, and D33J, he dropped his debut release on the WeDidIt label, the Grapes EP, in April 2012 while unleashing his enduring Halloween mix that October. However, his breakthrough came in 2013 with the release of his High Beams EP, which featured producer Salva and Los Angeles rapper Problem and cracked the top ten of Billboard's Dance/Electronic Albums chart. He kept up the momentum on his debut studio album, Void, released in 2014 and packing in A-list guest appearances from Big Sean and Boys Noize among others, as well as yielding hits such as "Core" and "Scylla." The follow-up, Nova, arrived four years later, bringing hip-hop and R&B into the mix and propelled by the single “I Wanna Know” along with talked-about future singles like 2021's "Stinger" with ISOxo. In 2023, RL Grime made his return with the single "Pour Your Heart Out," a collaboration with 070 Shake.
