William Grigahcine aka DJ Snake (born in Paris on June 13, 1986) is a French DJ based in the United States. His name began to circulate when he produced a track on Lady Gaga's Born This Way album in 2011. Two years later, he did it again on ARTPOP, where he was credited on three songs. DJ Snake also remixes tracks for Kanye West and Hayley Williams. Released at the end of 2013, "Turn Down for What", a duet with rapper Lil Jon, became an international hit. Three years later, he returned with the album Encore, featuring the hit "Talk". Number one in the dance charts, Encore features a track sung by Justin Bieber. The list of DJ Snake productions continues to grow until the second album Carte Blanche (2019), with the #2 "Taki Taki" sung by Cardi B, Selena Gomez and Ozuna and the French #1 "Loco Contigo " performed by J Balvin and Tyga. Like its predecessor, Carte Blanche reaches number one in the dance charts. On June 11 2022, DJ Snake performed at the Parc des Princes in Paris, inviting David Guetta, Stromae and Khaled, before packing out the Stade de France on May 10 2025. In the meantime, he continued to release singles and collaborate with other artists, culminating in his album Nomad. Rated No. 35 in France, this third album features J Balvin, Bantu, Bipolar Sunshine, Don Toliver, Stray Kids, Future and Travis Scott, Amadou and Mariam, Dillon Francis and TRXGGX, Space Laces, Damian Marley, Peso Pluma and The Outlaw.
