Reiya Terakubo

Reiya Terakubo (born August 4, 2001, in Hokkaido) is a Japanese musician, trumpeter, singer, songwriter, and producer known for his genre-blending artistry and forward-thinking musical vision. With a foundation in jazz performance, Terakubo expands beyond the trumpet to incorporate vocals and production, crafting an eclectic mix of house, funk, hip-hop, and R&B. His distinctive style merges traditional instrumental roots with contemporary urban music, positioning him as one of the most versatile young creators in Japan’s music scene. He leads the project Reiya The P.A.V.E., which serves as both his musical alias and a collaborative platform. The project debuted with the full-length album Reiya The P.A.V.E. released on May 14, 2025, offering an immersive and rhythmic journey through jazz-influenced grooves and soulful vocals. A standout from the album is the track “Hikari no Kajitsu feat. Sarasa”, which highlights Terakubo’s fluid interplay between trumpet and lyrical storytelling, enhanced by the smooth vocal performance of Sarasa.
