Ragheb Alama

Ragheb Alama is a Lebanese singer and television personality born as Ragheb Sobhi Alama on June 7, 1962, in Ghoubeiry. He achieved professional recognition in the 1980s as a contestant on the program Studio El Fan, where he received the Platinum Award. He released several hit singles including “Ya Rait” (1986), “‘Aan Jad” (1987), and “Alby Asheq'ha” (1991), the latter being the first Arabic song featured in a music video. His discography includes the studio albums Saharooni el Leil (2001), Tab Leih (2002), and El Hob el Kebeer (2004). He released the environment-themed studio recording Seneen Rayha (2010), which featured a remix of the track “Good Stuff” (2010) with Shakira. His recording career includes the studio albums Baa'sha'ak (2008) and Habeeb Dehkati (2014). Alama is the recipient of two Murex d'Or Awards.
