La Mou is a Japanese band formed in 1988. The core member is Yoshikazu Matsuura. The vocalist was Momoko Kikuchi (born May 4, 1968 in Tokyo). Members of the band included Nozomu Nakanishi, Osamu Katsumori, and Seiji Yoshioka. In addition, Rosalyn Keel and Darrell Holden joined the group as chorus members. In February 1988, Momoko Kikuchi announced the start of the band's activities, attracting attention to the band's R&B and funk-tinged sound, which was unique at the time. On September 14, 1988, they released their only album, "Thanks Giving. The group effectively disbanded in 1989 when Momoko Kikuchi decided to focus on her acting career. Since its breakup, the group's musicality has attracted renewed attention amid the reevaluation of city pop in the 2010s.
