Produce 101 Japan

Produce 101 Japan, a Japanese reality competition show, was launched on September 25, 2019. Co-produced by Yoshimoto Kogyo and CJ E&M, it aimed to form an eleven-member boy group through a series of auditions and viewer voting. The show featured 101 contestants who underwent rigorous training and performances across five concepts. The first episode introduced the theme song "Tsukame (It's Coming)", with Ren Kawashiri as the center. Throughout the series, viewers voted for their favorite trainees via online platforms and live events. The final episode aired on December 11, 2019, revealing JO1 as the debuting group. During its run, Produce 101 Japan released two EPs: 35 Boys 5 Concepts and Produce 101 Japan - Final.
