Prince Daddy & The Hyena, an American punk rock band from Albany, New York, was formed in 2014. Inspired by seeing Rozwell Kid live, the band released their first EP Skip Cutscenes! Blow Loud! in 2014 and gained traction with the release of the EP Adult Summers in 2015 through Broken World Media. Their debut full-length album, I Thought You Didn’t Even Like Leaving, was released in 2016 on Broken World Media. In 2019, they released their second full-length album, Cosmic Thrill Seekers. The band signed to Pure Noise Records in 2021 and released their self-titled third album, Prince Daddy & the Hyena, in 2022. This album was conceptually about the fear of death and supported by singles such as "Curly Q" and "A Random Exercise In Impermanence (The Collector)." The band's original drummer, Alex Ziembiec, died in November 2022.
