Bloodgood

Bloodgood was an American Christian metal ensemble formed in 1983 in Seattle. The group was established by Michael Bloodgood and Les Carlsen. In 1985, the band released the demo Metal Missionaries, selling more than 5,000 copies. Its eponymous debut studio recording appeared in 1986, produced by Darrell Mansfield. The group toured the United States and Europe, releasing the albums Detonation (1987), Rock in a Hard Place (1988), and Out of the Darkness (1989). After the release of All Stand Together (1991), the group disbanded in 1994. The ensemble resumed activity in 2006 with a lineup featuring Oz Fox. The band released the recording Dangerously Close in 2013 and was inducted into the Christian Music Hall of Fame. Michael Bloodgood died on July 29, 2022, following a hemorrhagic stroke. The ensemble announced its disbandment two days later.
