Phoebe Kreutz is an American singer-songwriter known for her work in the anti-folk scene. She released her debut album Pretty. Pretty Stupid in 2003 and followed it with several other albums, including Big Lousy Moon (2007), Bemusement Park (2011), The Age of Reasonableness (2012), and Nightlife Sentence (2013). Kreutz's songwriting has been featured on the Disney Channel show Johnny and the Sprites, and in Alex Timbers' musical Dance Dance Revolution. She has toured extensively, including performances at the Lawnya Vawnya Art Festival in St. John's, Newfoundland, and is a cult figure in Berlin, Germany. Her musical style, often described as "joke-folk," includes songs inspired by diverse subjects like historical figures, literature, relationships, and the pitfalls of rock 'n' roll excess.
