Orchestre National de Barbès

A merry band of twelve Algerian, Moroccan and French musicians, raving about a frenzied musical mix that ranges from the Gnawa tradition to jazz, via raï, chaâbi and rap... such could be the definition of the Orchestre National de Barbès. A history that goes back to 1995, and despite their predilection for the stage, eloquently expressed on Barbès (1997), they have made a brilliant name for themselves in the studio with Poulina (1999) and Alik (2008).
