Orange Blue is a German pop duo from Hamburg, consisting of singer Volkan Baydar (born March 31, 1971 in Hamburg) and pianist Vince Bahrdt (born 1971). The two musicians met in 1992 through an advertisement in the Hamburg scene magazine "Oxmox" and initially performed in various bands. They founded Orange Blue in 2000 and released their debut single "She's Got That Light" in May of the same year, which sold over 450,000 copies and remained in the German charts for 30 weeks. The debut album In Love with a Dream is released in October 2000 and reaches number 7 in the German album charts. It is awarded gold. Orange Blue is the first German band to contribute a song to a Disney film: "Can Somebody Tell Me Who I Am" is used as the theme song for the animated film Dinosaurier in 2000. The second album Songs of Liberty followed in 2001, reaching number 21 in the German charts. 2004 sees the release of the third album Panta Rhei, which reaches number 60 in the German charts. In 2007, they released their fourth album Superstar, which reached number 88 in the German charts. After a longer break, Orange Blue return in 2019 with the single "Love is Here". In 2020, they released the double album White | Weiss, which included 35 tracks as well as German songs for the first time and reached number 48 in the German charts.
